Napoleon Dynamite planning

Napoleon Dynamite

I read up on the plot of Napoleon Dynamite, as I have not seen the film, to decide on the way I should create my re-make of the title sequence and the props I should use. As Napoleon Dynamite is set in a high school I thought that it would be a good idea to include the following props in my re-make of the title sequence.

Following the idea from the original title sequence of different foods (which is stereotypical to a student) I decided it would be a good idea to include easily made foods such as backed beans on toast, microwave burgers, frozen meals, etc.

I thought that it would be a good idea to connect my title sequence to the stereotype of a student. Therefore I decided to use props in which link to the stereotype of a 'sexual frustrated' teenager. Using props such as underwear, and protection.

Continuing the stereotype, I thought it would also be a good idea to use props in which looked like drugs. For example, it is common to see students smoking weed etc in films and tv series. As well as cider which is a stereo typically alcoholic beverage in which students would drink.

However, the film is based on Napoleon who is seen as a 'nerd' or 'geek', So I thought that it would be a good idea to include props in which would relate to the main character. Therefore, a good prop would be something such as a comic book (which is very stereotypical to a 'nerd') and computer related things such as blogging or pc video games.

Overall, I think it would be a good idea to entwine the stereotypical student with the stereotypical geek student as it would be giving away the plot being based upon a student but not too much on the type of character Napoleon is.
